It’s a bird, it’s a plane

One of these days I need to sit down and write something about superheroes in literature, because I keep running into this, entirely by accident.
First I got an assignment to interview the delightful Alan Bissett (The Incredible Adam Spark), and then I was asked to interview the charming Alison McGhee (Falling Boy), and now I am telling you to go forth and purchase the hilarious G. Xavier Robillard’s Captain Freedom: A Superhero’s Quest for Truth, Justice, and the Celebrity He So Richly Deserves.
One of these days.
Meanwhile, here’s a photo I took, once upon a time. Gotham. Midtown.
Keep your eyes on the sky.
Is that a cake?

No, it is somehow a building. Not Photoshopped. Not far from where you live in fact. I was en route to that Burgers & Cupcakes place near Port Authority, if I recall correctly. It was a week before my birthday. Two years ago.
